Description

Chorro de Girón is a private reserve located in the Azuay Province near Cuenca. The reserve offers different outdoor activities, such as hiking trails, especially the one that goes up to the Cascada del Chorro. Along the trail you can visit a series of waterfall viewpoints, some of them could cause you vertigo and possibly a good wet, but you will certainly enjoy admiring the magnificent 300 meters waterfall. The reserve also offers some extreme sports activities for the more adventurous: canopy, bicycle flight, swing in the ravine, and the broken bridge. Beautiful experience 100% recommended and very close to Cuenca.

How to get

Western Cordillera; 30 kilometers in a straight line southwest of Cuenca.

  1. “Vía Cuenca - Girón - Pasaje” Approach: Take the Cuenca - Girón - Pasaje road (E35 and then Highway 59) to the southwest of Cuenca. The road is paved and heads towards the El Oro Province. Arriving at Girón, there is a short detour towards Cascada del Chorro Waterfall.
