Description

The Laguna Toreadora is located in the heart of the Cajas National Park, south of the Ecuadorian highlands. Toreadora is one of the most visited places in the Cajas, due to the lagoon great beauty, and also for its proximity to the cities of Cuenca and Guayaquil. The lagoon is located in the middle of a very hygrophilous wasteland, home of innumerable water bodies, which is why the Cajas National Park was named a Ramsar Site or wetland of international importance. Tourists can visit any of its viewpoints and take incredible photos; they can also choose to hike one of the trails which start at the Visitor Center in different directions.
