Antisanilla lava flow to Secas Lagoon Hiking Trail
Description
This little-known hike begins on the road to Muerte Pungo Lagoon and ends at Secas Lagoon, within the Antisana Ecological Reserve, after crossing the enormous lava flow left by a relatively recent eruption of the volcano located at the head of Muerte Pungo.

How to get
Eastern Cordillera; 32 kilometers in a straight line southeast of Quito.
- Normal Approach “Road to Muerte Pungo Lagoon”: Take the road that goes up from Pintag to the Antisana Ecological Reserve, about 4 kilometers and you will find a detour to Santa Rosa and “Laguna de Muerte Pungo” on the left. Continue from Santa Rosa towards “Laguna de Muerte Pungo” for approximately 2.5 additional km until you reach the beginning of this hike. This route is not signposted nor is it easy to follow.
