Description

The Bosque de Arrayanes de Santa Martha de Cuba, is located in the Province of Carchi, very close to San Pedro de Huaca. The forest of barely 2.5ha is only the remnant of what should have been a large forest of this beautiful species of the “arrayán”, which despite its small size, is a delight to walk along these paths between the big trees, in this environment full of cold humidity and an exquisite fragrance. Squirrels are inhabitants of the forest, although difficult to observe, as well as rabbits, skunks and owls. It just makes you think of the immense importance of saving these unique ecosystems, and if it's possible to compound the damage that has been done to Mother Nature.
