Description

The Parque Metropolitano Guangüiltagua with its 570 hectares is the largest park in the Metropolitan District of Quito. It's located in the Guangüiltagua neighborhood, bordering on the east the north central area of the city. The park has everything: extensive parking areas, children's games, sculptures, viewpoints, rest areas with BBQ; but the most important are the countless trails in the middle of the forest, which have been used by thousands of hikers and cyclists since it was inaugurated in 1990. Due to their number and length, these trails allow you to return to the park a thousand times and continue to surprise with new places. You will also be surprised by the number of species, both flora and birds, that have found shelter in these extensive eucalyptus forests. For these reasons, the “Metropolitano” is the favorite park of the majority of Quiteños.
