Day 1: Acclimatization day climbing over 5300 meters to the Agujas de Whymper
We will pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba at 8am to take you to the Chimborazo Volcano. We will stop for breakfast at the Chakana Hostel (or similar) and to leave our luggage, as we will sleep there tonight as part of our acclimatization. Around 10am we will head towards the Chimborazo Carrel Refuge, where we will do an acclimatization hike to the Agujas de Whymper (5300m). We will return to the hostel in the afternoon to rest and have dinner.
Breakfast and dinner included at Hostal Chakana. Box lunch for the Agujas de Whymper. Night at Hostal Chakana.Day 2: Free morning to explore the San Juan Canyon (self-guided trail), one of the main climbing areas in Ecuador.
After lunch we will go to the Chimborazo Carrel Refuge (4800 meters). Free afternoon for resting and acclimatization. Optionally, we offer the possibility of spending the night at the high camp at 5300 meters, additional cost of US 55 per person, also with dinner and breakfast included.

We will leave early in the morning towards the Whymper Summit of Chimborazo (6268m) where we hope to arrive around 8am. The activity will be led by our certified guides. We will return to the refuge where we will have breakfast and after a rest we will return to Riobamba at noon. We are expected to arrive to Riobamba around 1:00 p.m. End of our services.
