Description

The Limpiopungo Lagoon is probably the most visited attraction in the Cotopaxi National Park. It's located in a very accessible place, where it's possible to arrive by any vehicle, with the advantage of offering wonderful views of the Cotopaxi and Rumiñahui volcanoes. It can also serve as a starting point for the trails that lead to the Rumiñahui summit; or the very easy path that goes around the lagoon.

The entrance road to the park is paved for the most part, in the middle distance the Caspi Control of the Cotopaxi National Park is located. A few kilometers above the control, towards the left side, is the Limpiopungo Lagoon.
