Laguna de Secas is located bordering the Antisana Ecological Reserve, in a place of great beauty, around which there are some tourist stops and viewpoints that allow you to observe a diversity of birds and with a bit of luck the condors, which usually nest in the rocky cliffs that surround the lagoon. Hiking is also a very recommended activity, which offers a very photogenic landscape, and at the same time the possibility of following one of the trails that descend and cover a stretch of the Muerte Pungo volcanic flow. It was precisely this lava flow that clogged the river, forming the Tipopugro and Secas Lagoons, originated in a secondary crater of the Antisana Volcano.
